Maj Chad Hooper began his career at Hawk Mountain Ranger School as a student in the summer of 2013. Since then, he has been a dedicated staff member. Chad achieved his Expert Ranger in 2018. From 2020 to 2024, he commanded the North Carolina Wing Ranger Training Weekend event, and he currently holds the position of Director of Education and Training for NCWG.
In addition to earning his Master rating in Professional Development, Chad was honored with the Mid Atlantic Region Professional Development Officer of the Year Award in 2024. Off the mountain, Chad is a pharmacist and general contractor.
