HAWK MOUNTAIN LEADERSHIP

Lt Col Williams first joined Civil Air Patrol in 1992 with her older brother Lt Col Jake Hiles, who is also a Hawk Mountain staff member. They were each other's wingmen and competed with each other to see who could promote faster, be better at drill or PT, and attend the most activities. As a cadet, she was highly involved in every aspect of Civil Air Patrol and assisted in numerous missions, attended and staffed as a PAO at Encampment West, was a CAC representative, and helped organize and run a leadership academy called “Eagle Academy”. Lt Col Williams also completed Cadet Officer School, and represented the United States while she visited Switzerland as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange Program.
In 1997, Lt Col Williams attended Hawk as a student in the Field Medic Program, earned her green scarf and was named honor cadet at Hawk Mountain Ranger School that same year. After she achieved her cadet lieutenant colonel, and held the position of Cadet Commander at Jimmy Stewart Composite Squadron 714 in Indiana, PA, Lt Col Williams decided to take a break from Civil Air Patrol while she pursued her post secondary education.
Several years after graduating college, Lt Col Williams dove headfirst back into Civil Air Patrol as a senior member but this time at Butler County Composite Squadron 712. A job change and relocation caused her to transfer to the newly formed Greene County Composite Squadron 606 in Waynesburg, PA where she served as Deputy Commander of Cadets, among other positions, and eventually as Squadron Commander. In June of 2020, Lt Col Williams accepted the position of PA Wing Chief of Staff under Col Berry and served in that role until May of 2023. She returned to the Jimmy Stewart Composite Squadron the following month where she served as Deputy Commander for Seniors and is heavily involved with Education and Training and the TLC programs at the Wing Level.
Lt Col Williams returned to the Mountain to assist in the Finance and Administration section, then in late 2024, assumed the lead role in that department. At the same time, Lt Col Williams continues to advance her Ranger training.
