“At Hawk Mountain Ranger School, I found people I could call family and an environment that pushed me to accomplish more than I could imagine. My second summer I went through the Field Medic Course and experienced what true team spirit was like and how working together we built each other up and helped others. Between demanding physical fitness, in-depth search and rescue, and wilderness survival skills, cadets will find themselves in difficult spots having to choose between giving up or growing up. Decisions about attitude, motivation, perseverance, and morals create growth. That is where leaders are born. There is no easy path at Hawk; and that is one of the things that makes it so special. Today, my time at Hawk has prepared and encouraged me to pursue a career in the Army as a paratrooper and in special operations - Semper Vigilans.”
